Daily Juice Foods

The Daily Juice Cafe hosted a Miracle Berry Tasting party on Feb. 28. This was the first party of its kind in these parts. Eat one of these African berries, and it changes the way foods taste. Matt Shook gathered together a group of local foodies to share in this experience. Here is his report:

“Butterflies swirled as the test subjects prepared the for the experiment. Many participants had spent years trying to locate the mysterious “Miracle Fruit” or as many psychotropic culinary researchers have dubbed, “The Tripping Berry”. After a short introduction, the first dose of berries was administered and a simultaneous, synchronized wave of exhilaration washed over the group. Grapefruits, blueberries, lemons, and strawberries tasted like tumultuous seas of ecstatic ambrosia. The syrupy intensity of these fruits likely inspired mythological tomes, no fruit could really tasty so good unless under the sweet spell the berry provided. If grace is ever bestowed upon you, fair reader, take a sugar-coated trip down the rabbit’s hole of flavor.”
